Movement Composition

Over the next several weeks our grade 2 students will be taking part in a movement composition unit. Traditionally, movement composition focuses on dance, but we are allowing the students to explore a vast range of movement composition type activities to help open their minds in regards to the possibilities that exist with creative movement in general. Besides dance, we will also look at gymnastics, cirque du soleil, yoga, and martial arts sequences. In today’s class, we looked at the big ideas related to success in this unit.
